Description
An art deco shagreen box with camel bone inlay and cedar wood linings. The base is lined with fine leather. The shagreen (or sting ray), is light brown in colour and was popular as a veneer in the 1930’s as it is very hard wearing. Very clean interior showing minimal use. So this box would be a useful addition to the desk top or wherever a small box is needed perhaps for keys or trinkets. Structurally sound with a strong hinge. Measuring 4 1/4″ x 4″ x 1 7/8″ or 110mm x 102mm x 47mm high.
