Description
An Indian carved card case in sandal wood with intricate micro mosaic sadeli borders. The sadeli geometric patterns are made from bone, stained bone, pewter, and stained wood. The centers are crisply carved with foliage and peacocks and animals. It has a finely carved leaf border. This is very sound but there are some tiny losses to the sadeli near the opening at the back. The characteristic scent of sandal wood inside still remains. It measures 3″ x 4″ x 1″.
