Description
An ornamental turned antique ivory box. It measures 2 10/16″ diameter x 1″. It weighs 77 grams. With fine decoration to the top. It has two stress cracks which are masked by the design and an old repair around the central boss. The lid unscrews smoothly. This is an ideal size for storing small jewellery or as a useful paperweight. This and many similar items were produced in the nineteenth century by gentlemen with leisure to spend.
