Description
Canaletto (Giovanni Antonio Canal) Italian, 1697-1768. The Grand Canal Venice, a later print in antique steel. An engraving after the original oil on canvas by master engraver P. Heath in 1834. Image size is 4 x 7 inches approximately. This is not a modern print. This impression is very old from a book. The strike is crisp and the lines are sharp. Some foxing on the border as would be expected from an antique item.
