Description
A mother of pearl letter opener, all beautifully carved and pierced. The motifs are typically Georgian with a scolling acanthus leaf handle carved and pierced. There are lovely lustrous colours on the blade when it’s moved. All in good condition, but we would recommend gentle use of mother of pearl items. It measures 8″ long or 20cm. Mother of pearl was popular from the 1830’s for a variety of desktop and sewing items.
