Description
A pair of large Georgian style carved mirrors. These are a mirror image of each other having been carved in pine which has been left natural and unadorned. They are 55″ high x 31″ wide and carved in the twentieth century. The scrolling leaves with the pierced crest at the top and rippled bow at the bottom are all well carved and in very good condition. The crest is composed of honeysuckle and acanthus leaves which was a popular motif from the 1770’s. The slightly greyed plate glass is 32″ high x 17″ wide. This glass is twentieth century, so there are no blemishes.
