Description
A Regency tea caddy. It has been converted to a jewellery box at some time in the past. It’s of sarcophagus shape with unusual finely figured mahogany. With boxwood inlay and diamond parquetry to the lid. At the sides there are floral embossed brass ring handles and brass ball feet. Pretty cherry red paper lining and matching cherry velvet interior. Bovine bone escutcheon, key to lock with key tag. All in very sound condition and ready to display.
