Description

View of Richmond Palace fronting the river Thames, as built by Henry VII. From an ancient drawing in the possesion of the Earl Of Cardigan. Sumptibus Societatis Antiquariorum London MDCCLXV. Published according to Act of Parliament, Dec 30,1765. This view of Richmond Palace was engraved by J. Basire sculp and printed in 1765. The actual printed area measures 19 1/4″ x 14 1/2″. The borders of the print have slight wear, see photos. Accompanied by a detailed printed account of the old Palace of Richmond on several large pages of laid paper. The print is crisp and black and white and the plate impression is clear to see. There is some light water marks on the bottom left border. This will be posted in a postal tube.
