Description
A late Georgian flame mahogany sewing or jewellery box with matched saw cut veneer, cross banded edges and boxwood stringing and escutcheons. There is a lift up lid to the upper compartment with a drawer below. With antique lining paper, capacious and all in good condition. It could be used for most of the items which clutter the desk or table as it measures 12 3/4″ wide x 8 1/2″ deep x 7 1/2″ high. The keys with bone key tags no longer lock but act as handles. Clean inside, and French polished good nut brown colour, on the outside. Classic and elegant.
