A carved walking cane, made with superb quality hardwoods and with a silver collar.

Description

An engine turned walking cane, made with superb top quality hardwoods and with a silver collar. The tapering shaft appears to be a very fine grained mahogany species and the engine turned handle looks like lignum vitae. The handle very crisply turned and with a small bone boss. The silver collar has hallmarks for London, the lion rampant, and silversmith “HF”. Possibly Rowlands and Fraser or Harrison Fisher. Engine turned engraving to the collar and a vacant cartouche. Measuring 34 1/2″ or 87cm. Brass and steel tip. A very elegant, strong, smooth polished cane.
